Distance
1 Mile. Exactly.
Most modern tracks are 400m. United States high school athletes typically run the mile distance as 1600m (4 laps of the track), while the common international distance is the metric mile (1500m). This event will be exactly 1 mile, or 1609m. It will be 4 laps of a 400m track, plus the extra 9 meters.

The event will be held at the Texas School for the Deaf, 1101 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX.Divisions
Individual Mile
There are two divisions available for the individual mile: Age Group or Open. Please submit your projected finish time with your registration. Your age and your projected finish time will be used to place you in the correct heat.Mile Relay
There are three divisions available for the mile relay: Business/City, Fit Industry, and Media.Each relay must be composed of exactly 2 males and 2 females. Relay members must be associated with the entity.
Business/City is open to all businesses and municipalities. Fit Industry is for businesses within the fitness industry, such as running stores, bike stores, training groups, gyms, etc. Media is for media businesses, such as TV, radio, newspaper, print and online magazines, etc.
1379 Future Milers of America - Kids 400m
For kids under 10 years old, there is a 400m event. The event is free, but kids must be registered in advance online to receive a free tech-tee. The event is capped at 200 kids.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each age group, relay division, and open division.
Post Event Party
Come celebrate the second annual Manzano Mile with a post event BBQ & athlete meet and greet. Free food, beer, other snack, drink, & music.
